Beryl — Overview
Beryl is a high-commitment burst DPS who thrives on delayed gratification. Her hallmark is the Retain mechanic, allowing her to hold powerful cards for later use. Many of her retained cards gain bonus effects or damage multipliers the longer they’re preserved, rewarding patience and setup. Beryl’s playstyle revolves around preparing the perfect hand, waiting for the right moment, then unleashing devastating turns. With built-in cost reduction, Exhaust synergy, and personal draw tools, she balances her high AP costs with efficiency and timing.
Strengths
- Enormous single-target burst when Preserve effects are utilized.
- Retain mechanic grants flexibility and strategic depth.
- Access to strong, Exhaust-based card draw and alternative Epiphanies.
Weaknesses
- Limited AoE—only via Ego Skill.
- Requires setup turns to maximize damage scaling.
- High AP costs across cards.
